Time to start your Valentine’s Day shopping!

Whether you are celebrating with a significant other, or just your family and friends, it’s a holiday all about love! I’ve never been a huge Valentine’s day person, but I’m all about gift giving. When I came across JORD watches, I knew their classic and elegant timepieces would make for a perfect Valentine’s Day gift.  The fact that it can be personalized adds another layer of uniqueness onto an already special gift! As Reese Witherspoon says, “If it’s not moving, monogram it!” 🙂

Whether it’s for you or a loved one, definitely check out JORD’s selection of unique men’s and women’s watches.  The one I’m wearing here is the Frankie Zebrawood & Champagne – I love how feminine, yet timeless it is. The neutral color makes it easy to pair with any outfit, day or night! I decided to go with a style that had a slightly bigger face to see if I liked it on myself (I’ve been a fan of it on other people for a while now) and I have to say I think it really suits me! They also have a great selection of men’s watches!

I’ve also teamed up with the fabulous JORD team to giveaway a $100 gift card to one of my lucky readers! Even if you don’t receive the grand prize, all entrants receive 10% off future JORD purchases – so everyone is a winner! You can enter HERE for a chance to win.

It’s the perfect gift to share your love with those around you, as a piece they will cherish forever!

I’ve always admired J.Mclaughlin. From timeless looks and classic silhouettes to bold, resort prints, this a brand that truly has it all. I was so excited to work with them on styling an entire outfit from their most recent collection! Hope you enjoy!

This bag was the first piece to catch my eye and is what I styled the rest of the outfit around. I knew it would be the perfect clutch for spring and summer and it’s a great companion to my favorite J.Mclaughlin bag from last year! It’s actually a lot bigger on the inside than it seems and can hold the perfect amount for a walk through downtown or a night out with girlfriends.

I love the cut of these pants – they are so sliming and yet so comfortable. The zippers on the side are the perfect touch. And this cashmere cardigan is EVERYTHING – seriously one of the softest sweaters I’ve ever owned. This is definitely an item that will be on repeat all season. When it came to a shirt, I originally gravitated towards the Durham top for its name – go Duke! But I really do love the simple ruffle detail along the neckline. It’s so flattering and gives a simple white tank a feminine and romantic touch. The material is also AMAZING and extra soft. Lastly, I know that these raffia heels will be a staple once it gets a tad warmer out – they are just so beautiful!

It was truly a dream come true to be able to put together an outfit with J.Mclaughlin! Thank you so much to their lovely team for this opportunity.

Sperry Boots // Jeans // J.Crew Sweater // Coat (old) Similar, Similar

It’s not often you see snow near palm trees, but when it snowed in Charleston for the first time in over 8 years, that’s exactly what we got! It was such a magical site and these boots definitely came in handy walking around town and along the icy roads. I’ve always been a Sperry fan – ask any of my friends and they can tell you I wear my boat shoes practically every day. I’ve loved all of my Sperry products so much, that I was very excited to test out their winter boots! When these adorable pink and grey boots first arrived, I never thought I’d actually end up needing them in Charleston – but boy was I wrong! I love the pop of pink under the soles – such a fun surprise! I paired it with one of my favorite pink bow tops, white jeans, and a white winter coat for a classy and feminine snow-day look. Not only did these boots keep my feet super warm, but I got SO many compliments! This was probably one of my favorite outfits to put together this year – I just felt so pretty in pink 😉

Apparently it snows only once every decade here in Charleston and I just happened to have moved at the right time. I’ve always thought Charleston was a beautiful city, and even more so since moving here and discovering all of its little gems, but let me just say that Charleston in the snow is absolutely magical. Being from New York, it’s crazy that the city completely shuts down when it snows here – it was as if time stopped. I drove downtown one of the first days everything was closed and except for a lone cross country skier (I wish I had my camera to capture it!) the streets were completely empty. It was truly a winter wonderland!

When it was safe enough to drive a little further, I made my way over to my friend Anne’s house (who btw is an incredible photographer) and had her snap a few outfits shots in the snow, since we didn’t know when in the near future we’d get this opportunity again!
Hope everyone stayed safe and warm during the snowpocalypse!

One of my favorite parts of living downtown is how close I am to the beauty that is College of Charleston’s campus. The colors of the Cistern, an integral part of campus, are actually the inspiration behind Carolina Clothing Company’s fall line! I had the pleasure of meeting owner and designer, Brittany, who told me all about her company and I’m so happy to share it with you! Hope y’all enjoy these photos as much as Duke and I loved taking them! Also, for 10% off any of their fall pieces, use code “hellodarling10” at the Carolina Clothing Company website!
