One of my favorite parts of living downtown is how close I am to the beauty that is College of Charleston’s campus. The colors of the Cistern, an integral part of campus, are actually the inspiration behind Carolina Clothing Company’s fall line! I had the pleasure of meeting owner and designer, Brittany, who told me all about her company and I’m so happy to share it with you! Hope y’all enjoy these photos as much as Duke and I loved taking them! Also, for 10% off any of their fall pieces, use code “hellodarling10” at the Carolina Clothing Company website!

One of the best parts about living in Charleston is its community vibe. Everyone is so collaborative and supportive of others – creatives, artists, designers, whomever! I loved working with local jewelry designer Elli of “Wear it and Wander” to show off her Charleston charm bracelets. How cute are the “CHS” and “pineapple” charms?! She was even kind enough to make me my own personalized “hello darling” charm! Not only is Elli so sweet, but she’s incredibly talented and I look forward to collaborating with her again!
Over the past couple of years, I’ve learned that there are a few pieces in my closet I continue to reach for as the temperature gets cooler. Fall to me, means flannel, boots, sweaters, vests, and my tried and true Barbour Jacket. Of course there are other pieces I love to throw in from time to time, but the below are definitely my fall staples. This is how I styled my fall looks last year and I cannot wait to show you how things change living in SC! Take and look and let me know what you cannot live without this fall season!
Flannel // Vest // Boots
Shirt (old) // Pants
Jacket // Sweater // Boots // Dog Jacket
Flannel (Old KJP) // Dog Bandana
Hi y’all! The weather has been so crazy lately, but I’m still taking every advantage of being down by the water until it starts to get too cold – does that even happen in South Carolina? This is my first fall/winter here so we will soon find out! I picked up this Brooks Brothers shirt and couldn’t be happier! It’s part of their Red Fleece collection. I love the subtle detailing and the classic, yet fun, take on the traditional white button down. This “borrowed from the boys” look will 100% be on repeat this fall since it’s just so versatile! Hope you all enjoy the photos!
When I first saw this hydrangea shift dress on Sarah Vickers I fell in love and immediately reached out to see where it was from. I was thrilled to learn that it was a KJP original! If you’ve been following along you know that KJP is one of my favorite all-American brands. This dress is just perfect for summer strolls with the pup and the hydrangea print is so feminine and pretty! Hope you enjoy the photos!
