Winter can be so bleak and cold, that sometimes a relaxing and cozy night in is just what the doctor ordered! So be sure to give yourself some well deserved TLC this season and see how we enjoy our relaxing and pampering nights in together!

First, comfort is KEY and it all starts with a luxurious pair of PJs. We truly love any season where we get to snuggle up in cozy layers and the cutest pillows – the more the merrier! Fuzzy socks are not only fun but also keep you super warm; as do these Crane & Canopy oh-so-luxurious blankets we’ve been crushing on lately.  Puppy hugs have also proven to be extremely warm and cozy.

A glass of red wine is always our go-to for nights in, well, because who doesn’t feel relaxed after a glass of wine?! If you’re not the wine type, a nice cup of hot chocolate or Yogi Sleepy Time Tea are two of our other favorite and delicious ways to unwind. We especially like Yogi brand tea as the mantras on the tea tags always help end our night on an inspirational note.

Candles are a great mood-setter for cozy nights in. Some of our favorite scents are amber, vanilla, and the always-relaxing lavender. The soft lighting is so inviting and the smells can make your whole apartment feel like a spa! We’ve never been much into meditation, but a good book and candles can most certainly have the same calming effects for us!

A little self-care and TLC is always a great addition to any night in. Before we go to bed we love rejuvenating our skin with a spa-like face mask.

The last step to our routine is of course, snuggling up with the pup in bed. Resting your head on your pillow after a long day is incredibly satisfying and it really does help when you get to lay down on beautiful, silky-soft bedding – oh and when the cutest puppy is sharing your pillow.

Sweet dreams darlings!

Another installment of our favorite weekly finds!

Love how Carly and Sarah styled the same Kate Spade scallop blazer in different ways – both are equally as preppy and beautiful!

Kind of obsessed with Julia’s living room refresh!

We would like to take all of Kelly’s recent finds home with us! If you haven’t checked out Nordstrom‘s sale yet, we definitely recommend you do! Speaking of wanting to take items home with us, we are also crushing on everything on Liz’s spring break essentials list!

We are total fans of how Mackenzie styled her bow sweater and these to-die-for gingham heels!

Katie shared beautiful pictures from her tropical vacation and it’s making us crave warmer weather! Hopefully so soon!

Doesn’t Jillian look absolutely darling in her feminine pink top? We love how she styles it!

These pineapple fences Julia shared from her trip to the Bahamas are too adorable! We’ve been loving all things pineapple lately. Speaking of pineapple – how cute is Lauren’s tee!

In case you missed it, we shared our experience at the Alice Walk NYC trunk show – their pieces are beautiful!

Hope y’all have a great weekend!

Still dreaming of the Club Monaco NYFW presentation!

Last Friday I had the opportunity to go to Club Monaco’s Spring 2017 public fashion show at their 5th Ave location and it was incredible! The entire store was decorated with beautiful florals, ivy draped from the walls, champagne was flowing, and the place smelled absolutely amazing! It happened to be my first fashion show and it did NOT disappoint. From the feminine florals, to the crisp, clean basics, I felt as if every piece needed to come home with me! I love how their line incorporates both classic and trendy silhouettes and the hints of pastel throughout the collection are perfect for transitioning to spring! Perhaps the coolest moment of the night was when I was staring lovingly at a searsucker and ruffle camisole, commenting to my friend about how cute it was, and Drew Barrymore agreed with me! Needless to say, I ended up going home with that top 🙂

And the best part is that the whole line is available to shop right now!

Sorry for the blog radio silence, we were busy crafting! I wanted to brighten up my apt a tad and figured, instead of buying new furniture, I could try out some unique DIY ideas! This was my first DIY attempt, and while it may not be my last, let’s just say it will be a LONG time before I attempt to make anything major on my own again!

I got this Ikea hack for a beautiful gold and marble bookcase from Style Me Pretty, and I may be biased, but I think it turned out pretty well!

Living in an apartment complex, it’s pretty hard to find large, open, airy spaces for spray painting. Luckily for me, I live on the floor with the roof and the bookshelf wasn’t too heavy so we were able to spray paint outside. Seriously, how do other people spray paint in an apartment building – please tell me! After managing to get spray paint everywhere (read: my hands, arms, hair, and nose 🙂 the painting was complete and we were able to bring the shelf unit inside to dry. At this point, my girlfriend and I took a little wine break, as I was a tad stressed out with this whole process! I just wish we had more space! While the unit was drying, we picked 2 shelves to line with the marble contact paper – actually not as easy as it sounds! We had to cut the paper just right so that it laid in the designated shelf unit and didn’t buckle. We left everything overnight and then assembled it all the next morning.

Now, it’s nowhere near perfect (there are still some small paint droplets and bubbles), but I’m so proud I was able to create something on my own that I find the little imperfections give it character.

All that’s left to do now is decorate with your favorite little nick-necks!

Materials:

Ikea Bookcase

Gold Spray Paint

Beige Marble Contact Paper

Wine 🙂

This is always one of our favorite times of year – full of family, friends, good food and lots of love. We’ve both been very lucky in our friendships and it’s something that we are always so grateful for. However, now that we are all getting older, getting busier, and ultimately having more responsibilities, it gets harder and harder for all of the girls to get together as frequently as we used to. That is why one of our most cherished traditions is an annual friendsgiving dinner. It’s a chance for us to catch up, laugh, de-stress, and just enjoy each other’s company. Planning always starts early with who will be cooking what dish, who will be bringing which dessert, and who will be providing the extra essentials! As probably the worst chef out of all of my friends (believe me they will confirm this) I wanted to share other ways of contributing to a friendsgiving and showing your thanks through small tokens of appreciation. Below we’ve rounded up the cutest hostess gifts – so if you’re like me and cannot cook AT ALL, you never have to show up empty handed!
